Serums and ampoules are concentrated care for a specific skin need: more hydration, a more even complexion or a calmer skin feel. You apply them after toner and before moisturiser.

Serum or ampoule?
The terms overlap. Korean brands usually use ampoule to describe a highly concentrated formula in a smaller amount, often with a dropper. A serum is a little more fluid and designed for daily use. When choosing, the ingredients matter more than the name.
Choose by active ingredient
Hyaluronic acid and Panthenol provide hydration. Niacinamide supports an even complexion and refines the look of your skin. Centella asiatica and Heartleaf care for skin that looks irritated. Vitamin C and Retinol are among the active ingredients: introduce them slowly and consistently wear sun protectionduring the day. When you're just starting out, combine two serums at most.
