What makes Korean make-up special

Thin layers and a light glow are typical. A cushion is a foundation soaked into a sponge inside a compact: you dab it on with the puff and build up the coverage as needed. Many complexion products contain skin-caring ingredients, and some also offer sun protection. They still don't replace your sunscreen, though, because for full protection you'd need to apply more product than you would for a natural-looking complexion.

The right prep

Make-up lasts better on well-cared-for skin. In the morning, apply a lightweight moisturiser and your sunscreen and let both sink in for a moment. In the evening, an oil or balm from the cleansing category removes make-up and sunscreen in a single step.
