Creams & Moisturisers
Creams and moisturisers round off your routine. They lock the moisture from your toner and serum into your skin and protect your skin barrier from drying out.
Good to know: Creams & Moisturisers
Gel, lotion or cream?
Gel creams are lightweight and absorb quickly, which makes them a good choice for oily skin, combination skin and the summer months. Lotions and emulsions sit somewhere in the middle. Rich creams with ceramides, squalane or shea butter suit dry skin and the winter. Many people use a lighter texture in the morning and a richer one in the evening.
What to look for when choosing
If your skin feels tight one to two hours after moisturising, you can go for a richer formula. If it gets shiny quickly, choose a lighter texture. For sensitive skin, short ingredient lists without fragrance can help. In the morning, your cream is followed by sun protection; in the evening, it is the last step, unless you use a sleeping pack from the Masks & Packs category.
Whether a gel or a cream suits you better in the morning is explained in our guide Gel or cream in the morning?
You can find out which texture suits your skin type in the Skin Types & Life Stagessection, and tips for dry or stressed skin under Skin Needs. Our range includes creams from Medicube, ANUA, Round Lab, Beauty of Joseon and Haruharu Wonder.
